Dr. Johand Rodríguez has over 5 years of experience as a mental health professional working in both inpatient and outpatient settings in Puerto Rico, Massachusetts, and Florida. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Mental Health at the University of Puerto Rico. Subsequently, he completed his Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at Carlos Albizu University in San Juan, PR. During his graduate training, he was a Teaching Assistant in Psychological Assessment for graduate students in Clinical Psychology.
Dr. Rodríguez finished his Pre-Doctoral Internship in an outpatient community-based clinic in Worcester, Massachusetts where he focused on providing psychotherapy, performing clinical intakes and psychological evaluations to the Hispanic population of the area. After his internship, Dr. Rodríguez successfully completed a Psychology Residence in a Trauma Informed clinic in Waltham, Massachusetts where he received formal education and gained experience in providing treatment and evaluation to people experiencing severe psychological trauma.
Dr. Rodríguez has provided therapy to children, adolescents, and their families referred to diversion by the State Attorney’s Office due to inappropriate sexual behaviors at a program sponsored by the Children Services Council of Broward County, FL. He is also a former Assistant Professor in a School of Nursing where he lectured the courses of General Psychology, Growth and Development, and Social Psychology. Dr. Johand Rodríguez is a License-Eligible Psychologist in the State of Florida.
At Segal Trials, Dr. Rodríguez is a clinical rater on different research trials in a variety of indications. He is responsible for conducting biopsychosocial and diagnostic interviews to obtain necessary psychiatric history, recruitment of appropriate patient population and efficacy rating scales in inpatient and outpatient clinical research trials.
