The first annual NAMI Broward #WeCare Golf Tournament will support those living, and those loving someone, with a mental illness. All proceeds will go to NAMI Broward, directly impacting the community!
NAMI Broward County provides free support groups, education classes and seminars, legislative advocacy, and information for people in our community living with mental illness as well as their loved ones. Programs include Family-to-Family, Peer-to-Peer, Basics, Provider Education, and Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) for law enforcement personnel.

AWARE for All – Miami is a free program that aims to educate and empower the public in making informed decisions about clinical research. This event includes free health screenings and food, informational exhibits that feature community organizations and research centers, local physician and patient speakers, a ceremony to honor clinical research volunteers, a raffle and lots of fun giveaways.

Segal Trials and CISCRP host Clinical Trial Awareness Event at Marlins Park

Segal Trials, along with The Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation (C.I.S.C.R.P.), hosted the first-ever clinical trial awareness event in major league baseball history at the Marlins Park! We had such a great turn out of staff, guests, and community partners. We could not have been more proud to help spread awareness about clinical trial participation!

CNS SUMMIT 2016

Thank you to The STARR Coalition for awarding Segal Trials with the honor of Site of the Year! We were honored to help organize and participate in the site sessions “Transforming Site Landscape” and “Risk Based Monitoring” at the CNS Summit. Thank you to a great group of presenters and panelists. We were also thrilled to have won the CNS Summit Scientific Poster Award for “Factors Associated with Response Rate in Inpatient Schizophrenic Patients.” Congratulations to our authors, Dr. Rishi Kakar, Dr. Erin Tireman and Kate Templeton.

We want to thank C.I.S.C.R.P for the opportunity to co-host this event. Thanks to the Segal team and the UM medical students who worked so hard and passionately to make this event a success. We have a lot more work to do raising awareness in our communities and we took a major step forward with this event.
