Michelle Bello has 2 years of clinical experience working directly with those suffering from mental illness. She also has 1 year of volunteer work at the Everglades Correctional Jail providing counseling to inmates who have been sentenced to life. Michelle has also had experience leading group therapy sessions at Inner Wellness Therapeutic Services since August of 2017 for young adults, with the supervision of a certified mental health practitioner. Ms. Bello completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice at Florida International University in 2017. While at FIU, she was involved in the Cognitive Research lab where she participated as a research assistant. She is currently seeking her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. At Segal Trials, Ms. Bello is a prescreen rater where she conducts initial interviews for potential participants to properly assess diagnosis and current symptoms to determine which clinical trial these patients are eligible for. She also has experience working in the Segal Trial Call Center where she has been actively involved in several aspects of our recruitment process. Ms. Bello has been seeing patients with diagnoses of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD, ADHD, SUD, amongst others.
